Try to choose a picture with contrast between the foreground and background. For instance, if you have a black dog and the picture was taken at night then the background and foreground will both be dark. This makes the pattern dark as well with no definition between the background and foreground. The same is true for a photo that is light in both the background and foreground. Send the picture in the highest resolution, DPI, or pixels, as possible. Be sure to edit or crop your picture before sending it. Keep in mind that the better the picture the better the Cross Stitch pattern will be!
